The flag of Slovakia consists of three equal horizontal stripes – the top stripe is white, the middle one is blue, and the bottom one is red. In the upper hoist side of the flag, there is a coat of arms consisting of a white double cross on a blue hill, flanked by two heraldic red shields with a silver linden leaf. The double cross is a symbol of Christianity, and the blue, white, and red colors are traditional Pan-Slavic colors.
