The current flag of Vanuatu features a vertical bicolour of green and red with a black isosceles triangle based on the hoist side. The black triangle contains a yellow depiction of a boar’s tusk encircling two crossed namele fern fronds, which are symbolic of peace. The green colour represents the richness of the islands, the red represents the blood of boars and men, and the black symbolizes the people of Vanuatu.
