The flash collar is generally used for both internal and external halyard flagpoles, but can have other uses. Each flash collar has a .060″ wall thickness.

The flash collar sits on top of the ground foundation sleeve and helps to protect it from the elements as well as adding a finished look for your flagpole. Some folks add a clear silicone bead between the flagpole and flash collar for a tight seal.

To make sure you choose the correct size, measure the base diameter of your flagpole along with the diameter of your ground foundation sleeve. Lastly look at the exposed height of your ground foundation sleeve.
